Speedheat is only compatible with solar panels that generate electricity! Although theoretically possible, at this moment in time it is not yet economically viable to use solar panels for electric floor heating.
Speedheat electric floor heating does not have to be expensive at all, especially when insulation is installed directly underneath the heating and when the temperature is controlled by means of a programmable thermostat.
Nowadays more and more electricity is generated by means of wind, water power as well as sunlight and this amount increases every year. Nothing is greener than running an efficient floor heating on electricity which is generated in a sustainable manner.
Speedheat floor heating improves your comfort of living. The heating is mainly infrared radiation, which is similar to radiation from the sun. Radiant heat does not warm the air, but it warms all solid objects in the room, including obviously, the occupants. This type of heating creates almost no air flow and subsequently, no drying effect and no evaporative cooling.
Floor heating is 95% radiant heat and only 5% of the heat transfer takes place by natural convection. Because the floor temperatures are moderately warm, there is no risk of burning whatsoever. Obviously the safest heating for children or people with a handicap. That's why the Speedheat floor heating system is popular in hospitals and health care institutions.
