Floor heating for timber laminate floors Speedheat floor heating has developed floor heaters suitable to accommodate the present trend in timber floors. The 1mm micro-thin electric blanket is installed on top of the structural floor, directly under the timber, making it the ideal heating system for renovations because floor levels are not affected.The heaters have the same safety and economy features as the tile and carpet heaters, and address concerns of excess heat by spreading the low heat evenly over the floor area. The self regulating features of the element ensure that floor planks are heated to a low, even temperature which is fine-tuned by thermostatic control. Speedheat floor heaters are waterproof, earthed and use up to 60% less power than in-slab systems. Their quick response adds to the economy of this total heating system.
